The Expanded Edentulous Space in the Anterior Maxilla – Surgical Considerations

Stephen Chen discusses the challenges that surgeons face when looking at dental implant solutions for the rehabilitation of patients with extended edentulous spaces in the anterior maxilla. He covers anatomical and surgical considerations both from a theoretical and practical point of view, using a clinical case to illustrate the topic.

This lecture is accompanied by two more lectures covering the restorative considerations and the technical considerations when looking at the expanded edentulous space in the anterior maxilla. The series highlights the necessity of communication and teamwork among the involved specialists to be successful with their treatment of the case.

At the end of this congress lecture, you should be able to…

  • elaborate on anatomical and surgical considerations when dealing with an expanded edentulous space in the anterior maxilla
  • discuss the exchange of information necessary between the involved specialists to enable successful treatment as a team
