Simone Janner graduated as a dentist from the University of Zürich in 2005. After a 2-year training in removable prosthodontics and orofacial pain at the same dental school (University of Zürich), he moved to the University of Bern for a 3-year training in oral surgery and stomatology in 2008. In 2011, he was appointed Assistant Professor at the Department of Oral Surgery and Stomatology and since 2013 he is a board-certified oral surgeon. From 2012 to 2013, he attended the University of Texas, Health Science Center at San Antonio, Dept. of Periodontics, as a Research Fellow with a Scholarship from the ITI.
