Tissue Regeneration
This lecture covers the biologic requirements and mechanisms for tissue regeneration, with a focus on the guided bone regeneration (GBR) procedure. It also provides concise and useful summaries of the socket healing process and the materials used in grafting – autogenous grafts, xenografts, and synthetic materials. The use of GBR in simultaneous and staged grafting procedures is also presented.
