Online Courses - Staged

Online Course - Staged Ridge Augmentation

In cases of large bone defects staged augmentation is usually needed to achieve predictable treatment results. Numerous surgical techniques of staged augmentation are developed, including usage of particulate and block grafts of different origin. Selection of the most appropriate surgical technique and grafting material depends mostly on the anatomy of the defect which should be carefully evaluated prior the procedure. This course will provide information about types of bone defects, discuss decision process to perform staged or simultaneous augmentation and will also describe selection of surgical technique, its principles, and complications.
