WS2024 - Long-term Results of Peri-implantitis Treatment
ITI World Symposium 2024 lecture by Nikolaos Donos - part of the "Management of Peri-Implantitis" session.
Recently, the Consensus deriving from the AAP/EFP World Workshop in Periodontology provided clarification and diagnostic criteria for the healthy conditions around implants as well as for defining peri-implant diseases which facilitate the proper diagnosis in the clinical setting. Furthermore, the EFP S-3 Clinical Guidelines on the treatment of periimplantitis facilitate the appropriate treatment of patients presenting with peri-implant diseases. This lecture will provide an evidence based update on the available treatment modalities for peri-implantitis and will explore the factors that will affect the success of the treatment.
