Congress Lecture
Prosthodontic Planning and Procedures
Optimizing Esthetic Outcomes Using Digital Applications
The lecture reviews the digital possibilities to design esthetics and thereby control the esthetic outcome in implant dentistry. The presentation begins with a discussion of the most frequently used criteria to define treatment success in implant dentistry. Clinical cases demonstrate how digital technologies allow planning in three dimensions for optimal esthetics. Practical methods to measure esthetic outcomes are also provided, based on four parameters: implant placement, soft tissue management, prosthetic considerations, and patient satisfaction.
At the end of this Congress Lecture you should be able to…
- explain success criteria for implant esthetics
- discuss the digital workflow in implant dentistry
- recognize the ideal abutment design for soft tissue esthetics using CAD/CAM technology
