長期的な見地に立ったインプラント支持療法を考察する
本来耐食性の強いチタンであるが、生体環境下でチタンは腐食して溶出する可能性があることを、多くの文献から解説されている。市販の歯磨材含有レベルのフッ素濃度であっても、チタンの腐食、溶出は起こりうる。また溶出したチタンイオンはインプラント周囲炎の骨吸収を加速する可能性がある。長期間の経過後、撤去された自院のインプラントを観察し、その腐食状況を供覧する。その上でフッ素含有歯磨材の使用に配慮する必要性を説く。
