本講演では、最新デジタル技術による包括的インプラント治療と題して、デジタル化の現在、臨床応用、将来に関しての報告があった。治療前の診査・診断・治療計画、治療におけるガイデッドサージェリーやCAD/CAM、治療後の評価にもデジタル化が進んでおり、インプラント治療におけてなくてならない技術である。
デジタル化の意義とは、
- 標準化、ビジュアル化、データ化できることである。
- 任意の状態（良い状態・安定した状態）のデータをデジタル化することにより、元の形を再現し、比較検討できる。
- 私達が現在行っている治療内容のデジタル記録をすることで、次の世代の教育や経過を良しくした適応症の診断が可能になると考えられる。
