Iliac and Calvarial Bone Blocks for Onlay Grafting of a Severely Resorbed Edentulous Maxilla
A 45-year-old woman with a completely edentulous maxilla was referred to evaluate the possibility of rehabilitation with an implant-supported prosthesis. This patient was healthy and a non-smoker. She had been wearing a maxillary complete denture opposing a natural mandibular dentition since her twenties. This situation had resulted in progressive resorption of the alveolar ridge, repeatedly creating a need for relining the denture.
